Clean Sweep: Dispose of Household Hazardous Waste Correctly

Disposing of Household Hazard WasteClean Sweep is the common name for programs designed to safely dispose of household hazardous waste.

Hazardous waste can be harmful to people, animals, or the environment, particularly surface and ground waters.

According to the Eau Claire County Clean Sweep web page, Residential Clean Sweep events are always held on the second Saturday of May, July, September, and November each year, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. July 9, September 10, and November 12 are the remaining dates for 2011.

Clean Sweep collections take place at WRR Environmental Services in Eau Claire, located at 5200 Ryder Road, about 1/4 mile south of Interstate 94.
