Here are some fun and inexpensive Halloween activities for families:

  • Kid’s Club Spook Night at the Eau Claire Indoor Sports Center
    Bring the whole family for kid friendly Halloween fun! There will be DJ entertainment, inflatables, treats, games, and prizes.

Dispose of Household Hazardous Wastes this Weekend

Disposing of Household Hazard WasteClean Sweep is the common name for programs designed to safely dispose of household hazardous waste.

Hazardous waste can be harmful to people, animals, or the environment, particularly surface and ground waters.

According to the Eau Claire County Clean Sweep web page, Residential Clean Sweep events are always held on the second Saturday of May, July, September, and November each year, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

September 14 and November 9 are the remaining clean sweep dates for 2013.

Clean Sweep collections take place at WRR Environmental Services in Eau Claire, located at 5200 Ryder Road, about 1/4 mile south of Interstate 94.

pillsNot sure what to do with your expired or unused medications? Dispose of them correctly and help protect our groundwater, prevent child poisonings, and reduce substance abuse.

Eau Claire County Residents can dispose of expired or unused prescription and over-the-counter medications for free at four permanent collection sites across the county:

  • Eau Claire County Courthouse, County Sheriff’s Office, Room 1428, 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Altoona Emergency Services Building, 1904 Spooner Ave, 8 AM – 4 PM
  • Augusta City Hall, 145 West Lincoln Ave, 8 AM – 4 PM
  • Fall Creek Village Hall, 122 East Lincoln Ave, 8 AM – 4:30 PM
